We've got a University of Waterloo Co-op working here at Qualcomm who's heavily into the game EVE.

He tells me he's a part of a group called "Goonswarm". Have you ever heard of them? If so, he tells me your reaction may be emotional.

who are they?

Apparently, they are some group who's motto is something like "We are not here to ruin the game. We are here to ruin YOUR game."

They are against people who live for stats. They want to ruin things for stat whores (or something like that).

Sounds like a lame existence in retaliation for sucking at real life too...

Maybe they're eve's version of mygot?

My friend plays/played EVE. Goon is a group of people that buy shit tons of the cheap crafts and swarm the shit out of you during a battle.

Or something.

Strength in numbers. Makes sense.
